OIL RECOVERY

United’s recycling facility in Baytown, Texas was built to recover virgin resources, and to extract value from otherwise discarded materials. This recovery process is typically more cost-effective than sending the material to permanent disposal.

United processes a number of hydrocarbon/refined products and non-hazardous waste streams utilizing chemicals and heat assisted phase separation processes.

United purchases and processes off-spec refinery products, hydrocarbon streams, lube oils and tank pipeline clean out materials.

United’s process minimizes waste generation, reduces refinery/terminal cost bottlenecking, and allows for the most productive use of the final streams produced.

This service meets the purpose and intent of the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) by keeping usable products in commerce.

Recycling benefits our customers in a number of areas (i) Sharply reduces disposal cost thru recycling and recovering product; (ii) removal of the waste stream from Generator Reporting (iii) Compliance with Waste Minimization Plans (iv) further reduces the customer’s long-term liability.
